Animus adds Defensio, a 5 plies of all-wood blade with great feeling and precision, to its other defensive blades Saturnus 6+3, Victoria 1 and Victoria 2.

A 2.8 mm fir core, the intermediate hinoki and mostly the outer African ceiba layers allow great control in defense and very good speed and kick effect while attacking, both important features for a modern defensive play.

On its 156 x 165 version you can use any rubber including pips out and antispin; its straight and elliptical handle allows an easy paddle twiddling.

The 153 x 160 version together with new generation hard rubbers is recommended for allround players using every kind of shots: classic defense, powerful middle distance topspins, heavy chops and sudden close to the table attacks.
